



| Boat Cruises
The Waterfront currently runs two cruise boats – the “MV Makumbi”, the “MV Mambushi”. The boats are suitable for private functions and can be booked on an exclusive basis on request. The cruise is along the river boundary of the Mosi Oa Tunya National Park, around Siloka Island and back to the Waterfront jetty. The total cruise time is 2 ½ hours. From the boat, sightings of elephant, giraffe, buffalo and buck coming down to the river to drink are common. There are also abundant hippos, crocodiles and birdlife. There are 2 types of cruises, one includes a complimentary bar and freshly baked snacks, the other includes a complimentary bar, freshly baked snacks and dinner. An experienced guide accompanies each cruise and has good knowledge on the wildlife and local history of the area.
- Makumbi – maximum 85 clients, double-decker with open sided top level and enclosed lower level (with open windows).
- Mambushi – maximum 25, double-decker with small open viewing platform on top level, open sided lower level.
- Sunset cruise Times – September to April, departs at 16.30 returns at 19.00 (pick up from Livingstone accommodation at 16.00 and drop off after the cruise). May to August, departs at 16.00 returns at 18.30 (pick up from Livingstone accommodation at 15.30 and drop off after the cruise).
- Sunset / Dinner cruises comprise snacks such as chicken wings, quiche, cheese straws, meatballs, sausage rolls etc and dinner is a braai / barbeque consisting of chicken, sausages, a choice of salads and fresh bread rolls.
- Fully stocked bar includes local beer, wine, spirits, mixers and soft drinks.
- Breakfast or Lunch cruises available on request (minimum of 6 clients).
- Dry Hire of the boats is available on request for private functions.
- Children under 12 yrs old ½ price, under 4 yrs old free
The Lady Livingstone - Jewel of the Zambezi
SUNSET CRUISE
The Lady Livingstone is a brand new boat, constructed to run in affiliation with the newly built David Livingstone Safari Lodge & Spa by Safari Par Excellence. The boat is based on a private jetty off to one side of the hotel. She is a 144-seater, 3 deck river cruiser. The lower deck accommodates 92 clients, middle deck accommodates 40 clients and the upper exclusive deck accommodates 12 clients. The boat can cater for the individual travelers or groups and conferences alike.
