SAVANNA BACKPACKERS LODGE
INTRODUCTION
Savanna Lodge Backpackers is situated in Victoria Falls town, only
2km from one of the Seven Wonders of the World, Victoria Falls,
and of course the mighty Zambezi River.
WILDLIFE
As Victoria Falls is all National Parks land, a wide variety of
wildlife can be viewed almost anywhere. Buffalo, elephant, baboons,
warthog, kudu, impala, vervet monkeys and impala are very common
sightings, even in the residential areas. Lions and leopards have
also been occasionally spotted around the town.
The Zambezi National Park is home to numerous other species of wildlife
including giraffe, bushbuck, waterbuck, crocodiles, hyena, civet
cats, hippo, kingfishers, fish eagles, tawny eagles, grey louries,
and so the list is goes on.
ACCOMMODATION
8 x twin rooms
3 x double rooms
4 x dorm rooms- each dorm has three to five beds
Camping area
There are four ablution facilities centrally situated to all rooms.

blocks have toilets, showers, basins and hot and cold water

SELF DRIVE- Clients can drive directly to the lodge.
Directions available upon request
AIR TRAVEL- All flights arrive at either the Victoria
Falls airport, Zimbabwe or the Livingstone airport, Zambia. Safari
Par Excellence provide transfers to and from both the above mentioned
airports.
ROAD TRAVEL- For those who are traveling from Livingstone
border, Zambia and Kazangula border, Botswana, arrangements can
be easily made to book road transfers, upon request

CLIENT REQUIREMENTS
Valid travel and health documents
Entry visa for Zimbabwe – if required
Transit visa for clients entering via Livingstone airport
Return air tickets or vehicle registration particulars – if
required
Advise Safari Par Excellence of any dietary requirements or medical
conditions
VISA REQUIREMENTS
Please check this with your agent or nearest Safari Par Excellence
office. Where necessary, there are those who require double entry
visas for Zimbabwe which may be bought at port of entry, but there
are those that will have to purchase them prior to departure depending
on the type of passport. Safari Par Excellence WILL NOT BE HELD
RESPONSIBLE for VISA FEES.
INSURANCE
All clients are covered by Medical Air Rescue Service (MARS) through
Safari Par Excellence; however this only covers them for emergency
evacuation in life threatening situations. It DOES NOT cover their
hospitalization and medication. As such travel and medical insurance
is COMPULSORY to all clients. Please ensure clients have arranged
this insurance in their own country prior to leaving so as to cover
unexpected medical expenses and loss/ theft of personal effects.
Please ensure clients bring the details of their insurance policy
with them. Safari Par Excellence will not be able to cover clients
should they not have insurance.

Clients must be aware that during peak season, July
– December, rates are increased due to the high demand of
accommodation.
